What does Deal Intercultural do?

We provide training and consulting services for organizations in both the public and private sectors. Our services are tailored to meet the specific and unique needs of each organization with which we work.

Our goal is to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of each organization's operations while helping to improve the quality of life and job satisfaction of individuals employed by the organization.

How?

Starting with a complete and thorough strengths and needs assessment, we identify the tools, concepts, or theories most useful for each situation. We then design appropriate interventions, in consultation with organizational leaders.

The services we provide range from individual coaching and mentoring to departmental-specific programs to organization-wide workshops.

Why?

We believe in the ideals of (1) highly effective training and teaching, (2) the right of every person to work in a positive, supportive environment, and (3) the value of developing a deep level of understanding of others, including people from different cultural backgrounds.

Our workshops are designed to give participants an opportunity to explore and discuss new ideas, learn from one another, and provide specific action steps to follow after the training is over.

We also know that genuine respect and understanding for others is good for business. In many cases, we help participants recognize cultural differences that make a difference, and help them develop strategies for dealing effectively with difference.

What are your areas of specialization?

Our areas of specialization are communication and training. Within those areas, we specialize in intercultural communication in the film and TV industries, the training of trainers, Chinese culture, training design, and designing training for multi-cultural audiences.

Why is it called "Deal" Intercultural?

That's because it was founded by and is managed by Christopher Deal (his bio).
